Floormate Challenge There's nothing quite as moving as a bucket of filth. That, in fact, was our strategy to raise awareness and boost sales of the Hoover Floormate, the cleaning tool that vacuums, scrubs, and dries hard floors. So Charlotte advertising agency Tattoo developed an integrated campaign, and invited real-life consumers to take "The Floormate Challenge". While our cameras rolled, they cleaned their floors like usual. Then, we had them clean the same floor AGAIN with the Hoover Floormate. The left–behind dirt that showed up in the Floormate tank was enough to make believers out of more than a few folks: while the campaign aired, FloorMate sales increased from 10k units/week to 40k units/week. Results like that were almost as awesome as looking in disbelief at all the crud we got off the kitchen floor. Unbelievable!!
