Account Executive Internship Job Description:
The Program:
This is a rigorous 3-6-month program, a proving ground for young professionals that want to break into advertising. This is neither school, nor advertising camp. You won’t just learn; you will effectively contribute in a fast-paced advertising agency environment. There are no guarantees of getting hired, but our interns do have a strong track record of finding employment in the advertising industry.
The Compensation:
Months 1-3 | $10/hr.
Months 4-6 | $15/hr.
The Job:
Great creative wins business, but great Account Management keeps it! You will work closely with senior account executives and directors: shadowing client meetings, honing your relationship building skills, learning the art of good note taking and even better creative brief writing, developing an appreciation of status documents, researching competitive landscapes, and staying up to date on trend spotting and brands to watch. You will collaborate closely with project management on client needs and timelines and be a valuable resource for the creative, production, and dev teams. The person in this role will have the opportunity to work on multiple accounts and will get a feel for the pressure of million-dollar clients and develop empathy for the start-up hustlers. You will gain the confidence to work as an individual, in small teams, and how to present to clients. A lot of success in advertising is gaining confidence under pressure through experience and repetition, and at Tattoo Projects you will get that experience.
The Responsibilities:
- Support senior account team in managing multiple projects to ensure quality, accuracy, and deadline adherence.
- Attend client meetings to discuss goals, objectives, and needs and help turn information into actionable plans that support their business.
- Take ownership of weekly status documents and assist with presentations for assigned clients.
- Learn how to write actionable and insightful creative briefs.
- Stay informed of client business, category, and competition. Be able to synthesize latest trends and news back to the agency.
- Collaborate with other departments within the agency on creative projects, productions, reports, etc.
- Remember that our clients are people first. Learn how to build relationships that grow accounts.

The Qualifications:
- Admiration for advertising and strategic creative.
- Passion for organization and eye for details.
- Strong time management, listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-starter and ability to effectively handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Intelligent, curious, and analytical with the ability to problem-solve.
- Experience working in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Apple Keynote.
- An open mindset and will seek out feedback to refine and develop their skills.
