
This is a rigorous 3-6 month program, a proving ground for young professionals that want to break into advertising. This is neither school, nor advertising camp. You won’t just learn; you will effectively contribute in a fast-paced advertising agency environment. There are no guarantees of getting hired, but our interns do have a strong track record of finding employment in the advertising industry.
Months 1-3 | $10
Months 4-6 | $15
You will learn how to create compelling ideas, how to craft copy that doesn't waste a word. You will learn the rules of writing and when to break them. You will become terrified of mixed metaphors and passive voice. You will love the Oxford comma, and reluctantly accept proofing duty. You will learn that the most powerful person in the world is a great writer, but saying things like that is embarrassing. You will work in a team with Graphic Designers, Devs, Project Managers, and a Production Team. Gain the confidence to work as individuals, in small teams, and how to present to clients. A lot of success in advertising is gaining confidence under pressure through experience and repetition, and at Tattoo Projects you will get that experience.
You will gleefully work in Microsoft Word or Google Docs, Microsoft Teams or Slack, Powerpoint or Keynote. You will be technology agnostic and probably develop some Adobe InDesign skills. You will help construct pitch decks and proof everything. You will have fun. You will learn the difference between performance pressure and stress, and that the team always has each other’s back. You will see that the previous two paragraphs are kind of redundant, but then note that the first is more benefits driven, the second is more feature based, and then you will skim the bullets below.
